Excited to announce the first course in Spain in September!

So things in Spain move slowly and it has been impossible to get my dedicated art studio teaching space finished . But over the summer a couple of people locally asked me about the Introduction to the Therapeutic use of Creative Arts course, and so on a whim this week I decided to go ahead and I excitedly already have three students signed up!

I am so excited to be teaching this course in person again. For many years I held the course in Brentwood in my home. Liesl also taught small groups from her home in North London and so it feels fitting to have an small and intimate group to start things off for APCCA here in Spain.

It was always my aim to create a training venue here in Spain, and although my teaching room isn’t ready yet (there is a possibility it will be finished in time) but if not I am lucky enough to have enough space here to teach a small group. September in the Costa Brava is beautiful, my favourite month. The crowds have gone, the blistering August heat has ended and the weather is dry, sunny and warm. I plan to teach outside in a covered seating area in the garden. weather permitting, otherwise we will be upstairs with amazing sea views in in a bright room that opens on to a large terrace. Either space is a fabulous setting for a creative arts group and a world away from being in a stuffy college room.

What to expect:
- An introduction to person-centred creative arts therapy, grounded in Liesl Silverstone's model
- A full day of experiential, hands-on learning — no prior arts background needed
- A small group, hosted in my own home rather than a hired venue
- The chance to be part of this course's first ever outing to Spain, ahead of the studio opening next year

Spaces are small because the setting is — this is a genuine first, and I wanted you to hear about it directly from me.

I am also making three rooms in my home available to anyone on a limited budget to stay here for a nominal fee - email for details if interested.

I’ve collated some useful information here and I’ll be listing the course this week, (so watch the website and social media for more news) but if you are keen let me know on ani@apcca.org.uk as there are just three places left.

The date is Saturday 26th September and I am so looking forward to welcoming my first group of students in Spain!
