APCCA Certificated Course
COURSE STRUCTURE
The certificate course consists of 48 taught hours, (across 9 days, over 3 months) equates 25 hours home study, plus 2 peer group session and placement practice outside of the course.
(75 hours plus placement practice hours*).
This course will be delivered wholly online.
Students are required to provide a confidential space in which to engage in experiential work online during the course.
Assessment
Assessment is via portfolio which will include:
- ongoing peer feedback 
- self and peer assessment 
- non-directive reflections, empathic responding 
- tutor feedback 
- empathic responding 
- evidence of practice 
- image work and reflections 
- personal statement evidencing personal development (self awareness and creativity) 
- Students must be able to arrange to practice away from the course in a client/work setting – if unsure please call to discuss. 
- Students must provide evidence of appropriate supervision. 
COURSE CONDITIONS
- An attendance rate of 80% is required to complete the course 
- Art materials: for online courses students will need to provide their own art materials 
- Practice opportunity: students are responsible for arranging opportunity to practice skills away from the course (if unsure please call to discuss) 
- Supervision: students are responsible for arranging their own supervision 
ACCEPTANCE ON THE COURSE
- Cost: £850 
- Places are offered on the course only after a successful interview and after suitable references have been received. 
- Includes membership of APCCA until May 2021
